I really adore :scared: by CookiemagiK. The brilliant eye movements and smooth sweat drop patterns just make the whole emote move fluently together to make an emoticon thats really useful within conversation.
Another brilliant emote submitted this week is read and smoke by Krissi001. The animation flows extremely well throughout the movements and it contains some brilliant effects on the page turn and smoke puff.

A Splash of Colour ContestA Splash of Colour Contest by N0rks
Without colour, the world around us would be a dull place. Colour is everywhere, and plays an important role our lives. We pick flowers because we like their colours, we paint our houses in colours we like. With the Word Cup going on, soccer fans from all over the world dress in their national colours. Colour can raise you up, can soothe and relax you or maybe just make you see a normal object in a different way.
As artists, we know that choosing the right colour can make or break art. Colour also sets the tone and atmosphere, sometimes conveying a strong message to the viewer.
However, if all colour is left out, that too sends a strong message. We have all seen black and white art that wouldve been a great deal less impressive if it were displayed in bright colours. September ECC: Leaves OVERThe contest has ended, results will be announced soon.
Hi guys this is the first in my new series of emoticon contests! (inspired by SparklyDest's EMTC which is on hiatus this month)
The ECC stands for the Emote Character Challenge Based on the ECs that emoticonists often use on dA.
For resources on creating an EC see This tutorial
What differs this contest from others like TheEMTC and EmoticonOpus Is that the ECC will require you to use an EC (or emote character) and each month will not only come with a new theme, but 1 or more challenges as well.
Use both your's and another emoticonist's EC in the deviation.
September 30th 11:59 PM EST
Your entry must incorporate the theme and challenge shown above.
Your entry must follow deviantArt's Terms of service.
You must use an EC, a character who is named, and d
